Terms of Service
Last updated September 2026
These terms apply to using ratepop (www.ratepop.co) — the rate calculator, The Lineup, creator profiles and paid features. By creating an account or buying something you agree to them.
1. Operator
Email: hello@ratepop.co
2. What ratepop is — and isn't
- The calculator gives an estimate based on a public formula and anonymous market data. It is not a guarantee of what any brand will pay, and not financial advice.
- The Lineup and profiles help brands find creators. ratepop is not a party to any deal between a brand and a creator, doesn't act as an agent and isn't responsible for payments, content or conduct of either side.
- Profiles marked Demo are examples to show how the site works. They are not real creators.
3. Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and give a real email address. Keep your password safe — you're responsible for what happens in your account.
- One listing per account. You may only list accounts you own or are authorised to represent.
- You can delete your account any time in Dashboard → Settings → Account (brands: the Account section of the brand dashboard).
4. Your content
- You're responsible for the numbers, photos, bio and links you add — they must be true and yours to use. No nudity, hate, violence, content showing other people without their consent, or anything illegal.
- You give ratepop a non-exclusive, free licence to show this content on the site (The Lineup, creator search, profiles, rate card, rate badge) and, for your handle and headline rate only, in ratepop's own market-update posts on social media, while your listing exists. You keep all rights to it, and you can ask us to leave you out of social posts.
- We may hide or remove listings that break these rules, look fake or misleading, and suspend accounts that abuse the service.
5. Paid features
- Free — your listing is on today's Lineup for 24 hours each time you pop, and stays findable in the creator search and on your profile page afterwards.
- PRO — monthly subscription: orange check, on The Lineup without re-popping, ranking above free listings, the list of brand accounts that viewed your card, an optional verified-brands-only inbox, media kit, Insights. Renews monthly until you cancel in your Gumroad account (link in Dashboard → Settings); cancelling stops the next renewal and PRO stays active until the paid month ends. PRO can also be earned for free through a pop streak, invites or proven brand deals (brand-confirmed or screenshot-verified); the current thresholds are on the Pricing page. Earned PRO is a free bonus: it can't be exchanged for money, and we may take it back if it was obtained by abuse (fake invites, made-up deals, several accounts).
- Global Top spot — one of 3 pinned spots on The Lineup for 24 hours. Buying again while your spot runs adds another 24 hours. If all spots are taken when your payment arrives, or you have no live listing, we e-mail you and refund you.
- Category Top — one of 3 pinned spots in your niche for 24 hours. Buying again while your spot runs adds another 24 hours. If all spots are taken when your payment arrives, or you have no live listing, we e-mail you and refund you.
- Founding creators (launch offer) — while it runs, the first creator accounts (the number and length are shown on the site, e.g. 50 accounts, 12 months) that verify their e-mail and put a card on The Lineup get PRO free for that period. One per person; no payment details, it simply ends after the period — nothing to cancel. We may remove it from accounts that are fake, duplicated or break these terms. Unlike a subscription it isn't refundable or transferable. The offer ends once all spots are taken.
- The orange check means an active PRO membership (paid or earned). It doesn't mean we audited the creator's audience or numbers; “numbers verified” means the follower count was checked against the platform's public API.
- Gumroad is the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges VAT where it applies and issues the invoice; Gumroad's terms apply to the payment. ratepop provides the service itself and handles withdrawals and refunds (processed through Gumroad). Prices are shown on the Pricing page in USD and exclude VAT; Gumroad adds VAT at checkout where it applies. Creator rates shown in EUR are a display conversion at the ECB reference rate — deals are agreed between you and the brand in whatever currency you choose.
- Right of withdrawal: as a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Paid features are digital services that start immediately after payment. Before checkout you tick that you ask us to start right away, and — for a 24-hour Top spot — that you lose the right of withdrawal once the spot has been fully provided. For a PRO subscription you can withdraw within 14 days of the first payment; we then refund the part of the month not yet used. To withdraw, send us a clear statement by e-mail (you may use the form below) — we refund within 14 days through Gumroad, to the original payment method. We confirm your purchase and your choice by e-mail.
- If a paid feature doesn't work because of our error, email us and we'll extend it or refund you. When a payment is refunded or charged back, the feature it paid for ends (PRO loses the paid month, a Top spot is removed).
6. Availability and liability
We try to keep ratepop running, but can't promise it's always available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, ratepop is not liable for lost deals, income or indirect damage; our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you.
7. Complaints and disputes
If a paid feature didn't work as described, e-mail hello@ratepop.co with your order e-mail, what you bought and what went wrong. We confirm receipt, decide within 30 days and tell you the outcome (extension, refund or the reason we declined). If you're not satisfied, you can ask us for redress again; if we decline or don't answer within 30 days, you can turn to alternative dispute resolution — in Slovakia the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, soi.sk), which is also the consumer-protection supervisory authority (Ústredný inšpektorát SOI, Prievozská 32, 827 99 Bratislava). Slovak law applies; as a consumer you keep the protection of the law of your country of residence.
